Easter Egg Hunt

Every year at Ōtaki School we have an easter egg hunt. This year it was a little delayed - but ngā kaiako thought it would be a lovely way to celebrate being back together at school again....and it was!!!! Everyone looks for the eggs - everyone gets an egg at the end! Tu meke!

Making Orange Juice

This year we have made carrot juice and apple juice. Tamariki have been asking to make orange juice also. When we have been talking so much about how to keep ourselves safe this week, it seemed like the right time to make it. Tino reka!

Duck Duck Goose

This week we have tried to fit in as many of our favourite things to do as we celebrate being back together again. Duck duck goose is a firm favourite. Lots of giggling! Lots of quacking!!

Bubble Art

We have had a lot of talk about our bubbles. Who had been in our bubbles - and who was in our bubble now. It seemed appropriate to finish the day with a bubble activity! Everyone chose their own colour and created bubble art!

Welcome Back!!!!

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou! It has been a wonderful week! Great to be back at Ōtaki School!
We started the week talking about how to keep ourselves safe at school. How we wash our hands before coming into the classroom and before we go out. Coughing and sneezing into our elbows - using sanitizer - eating only our own food, drinking only from our own drink bottles.
We sit inside our classroom to eat our food together. Then we go out to play.
